Technical Recruiter

Our mission is to cool the world by transforming every home to be more comfortable and healthy for the people who inhabit it - without compromising the environment. We are looking for a technical recruiter to grow our diverse and talented team as we prepare to launch our first product, while having uncompromising focus and vision for our company’s values. This person will shape, build, and scale our organization by recruiting for an array of positions in support of our hardware product: electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, and manufacturing engineers; assembly technicians; marketing; and customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process in close collaboration with hiring managers and effective candidate advocacy

  • Write and post non-technical and technical job descriptions for an HVAC hardware company including engineers (mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, hardware, quality), technicians, customer service, and other supporting staff

  • Source potential candidates using outbound and inbound methods on recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn, screen resumes, and evaluate candidates to determine fit

  • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen resumes

  • Perform screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities

  • Work with technical team to develop technical assessments for candidates

  • Evaluate technical aptitude and screen candidates for both technical and behavioral fit

  • Schedule candidate interviews and decision meetings with hiring committee

  • Coordinate with technical team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs

  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates to develop a candidate pipeline

  • Compose job offer letters and negotiate compensation

  • Exemplify and find new ways to expand Treau’s values for diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the hiring process

  • Onboard new hires

  • Work with outside counsel on immigration matters

  • Promote Treau’s mission and spread excitement about Treau’s reputation as a great place to work through company webpage and other public-facing communications

Desired Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of recruiting experience and 1+ year of technical recruiting experience

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication

  • Expert planning and organization skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with applicant tracking systems and resume databases

  • Excellent command of sourcing techniques and ability to identify the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates

  • Good understanding of HR practices and labor legislation

  • B.S. in Human Resources Management, technical field, or other relevant degree

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for a hardware company

  • Experience working directly with hiring managers and senior engineering leadership

  • Experience growing a hardware team from low to high volume production

  • Experience managing and mentoring others.
